Grade 9 and Grade 10 students are required to take the State Writing exam beginning March 31st. Students have received personal invites with testing room locations, dates, and times. The testing day is based on students’ English teacher. Please ask your teacher if you are not sure about this requirement.

- Exam length: 120 minutes
- Students may continue working after this time, if needed
- Students must stay in the testing room for the entire 120 minutes
- A planning sheet will be provided to organize and prepare for the final essay
- Scores can be viewed on the Florida Statewide Assessments Portal through the parent portal created in myStudent.
- Last years essay, score, and rubric can be viewed and used to prepare for this year’s writing prompt.
