Fivay High School Music Program Ensembles

Fivay has multiple music courses designed to develop aspiring musicians. This program is dedicated to achieving excellence in our musical and educational endeavors.

 

Music Classes Open for Enrollment

  • Band (Concert/Marching) – Band 1, Band 2, Band 3, Band 4, Band 5 Honors, Band 6 Honors

  • Choir – Chorus 1, Chorus 2, Chorus 3, and Chorus 4

  • Jazz Band – Jazz Band 1, Jazz Band 2, Jazz Band 3, Jazz Band 4 Honors

  • Percussion – Instrument Tech. 1, Instrument Tech. 2, Instrument Tech. 3, and Instrument Tech. 4 Honors 

  • Color Guard – Eurythmics 1, Eurythmics 2, and Eurythmics 3

Marching Falcons

The Marching Falcons develop students skills in music performance, movement, coordination, teamwork, and leadership through rehearsals and performance. Members learn discipline, time management, and personal responsibility while contributing to a unified and successful ensemble.

 

Soaring Falcons Concert Band

The concert band serves as the foundation of the band curriculum and focuses on building strong individual and ensemble musicianship skills. The Soaring Falcons Concert Band perform at the Fall and Spring Concert, and the yearly Music Performance Assessment (MPA). Band classes focus on playing fundamentals, music theory, music history, and live performance. All students have Solo & Ensemble opportunities as well.

Soaring Falcons Jazz Band

The Soaring Falcons Jazz Band is a performance ensemble that explores a variety of jazz styles, including swing, blues, Latin, funk, and contemporary jazz. Students develop musicianship, improvisation, and ensemble skills while preparing music for concerts, and special events.

 

Indoor and Percussion Ensemble

Indoor Percussion and Drumline provide students with opportunities to develop percussion performance skills through music, movement, and teamwork. Members rehearse and preform at school events, concerts, and competitions while representing the Fivay Band Program with pride, dedication, and excellence. 

Color Guard and Winter Guard

Color Guard and Winter Guard offer students a creative outlet to express music through movement, chorography, and equipment performance. Participants build confidence, coordination, and coloration skills while contributing to engaging performances at school events and competitive show cases. 

 

Soaring Falcons Choir

The Soaring Falcons Choir helps students develop sigh reading, vocal production, ,music literacy, listening, and ensemble skills through the study and performance of choral literature. Members learn to sing independently and collaboratively while building confidence, discipline, and musical proficiency.
