Lakeside Festival Schedule

This Saturday, April 16th, the Fivay High School Jazz Ensemble will be traveling to Port Orange, FL/Daytona Beach, FL to perform at the Lakeside Jazz Festival. While there, we will have the opportunity to listen to some of the best high school jazz programs in the state as well as listening to some of the best college/university jazz programs in the state. In addition to those great jazz programs, we will also get to see and hear the Navy Brass Band!

 

The schedule for Saturday, April 16, 2011, is as follows:

5:30 am - Band Hall opens.

6:00 am - Leave for Daytona.

9:40 am - Warmup.

10:00 a.m. - On Deck – to perform.

10:20 am - Jazz Band performance.

10:40 am - Jazz Band Clinic

11:00 am - Lunch. Free time.

4:30 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. - Observe other performances.

4:30 pm – Awards Ceremony

5:00 pm – Daytona State College

5:45 pm – Spruce Creek H.S.

6:15 pm – Univ. of North Florida Jazz II

7:00 pm – Florida State Univ. Jazz Orchestra

7:45 pm – Univ. of Central Florida Jazz Band

8:30 pm – Navy Brass Band

9:30 pm - Depart for Fivay High School.

12:00 am - Arrive at Fivay High School

 

Each student should have received a letter detailing the trip schedule and the various rules for this trip. If the schedule or rules change for any reason, we will inform the students during class.
