FBA State S&E Results
Congratulations to all of our students who participated at the FBA State Solo and Ensemble Festival this past weekend. Our students did remarkably well, and have a lot to be proud of. Our results were as follows:

FHS Winterguard – Excellent
Receiving Superior and Excellent ratings at the FBA State Solo and Ensemble Festivals is a great achievement for any high school band program.
FBA State Solo and Ensemble Festival
On Saturday, March 26, 2011 our students will be performing at the FBA State Solo and Ensemble Festival. This year’s festival is taking place at Freedom High School in Orlando, FL. Only students who earned a Superior rating at District Solo and Ensemble are permitted to perform. Our times for Saturday are as follows:
- 5:30 a.m. – Band Hall Opens
- 6:00 a.m. – Bus departs for Freedom High School
- 8:00 a.m. – Arrive at Freedom High School
- 9:00 a.m. – Winterguard performance
- 11:48 a.m. – Chris Cavaliere (Snare Drum Solo)
- Possible lunch break
- 3:45 p.m. – Synthia Martir (Dance Solo)
- 4:00 p.m. – Depart for Fivay High School
- 6:00 p.m. – Arrive at Fivay High School
As you can tell, it’s a long day for us. Please, bring some money for snacks/lunch, while at the festival.

FBA Concert Band Results
The Fivay High School Symphonic Band participated in the FBA Concert Band Festival at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge, on March 3, 2011. Our students gave a wonderful performance, and earned straight Excellent ratings. We couldn’t be more proud of our students. Photos and mp3 recordings will be posted as soon as possible.
This groups next performance will be on Friday, March 11th during the schools lunches.
BPMS Visit
On Monday, March 7, 2011, we will be taking some students to Bayonet Point Middle School to perform for their school. We will be taking the Jazz Ensemble, Drumline and Winterguard. Students will be missing their a portion of their 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th period classes. We will be doing 4-5 performances, during their different lunch periods. They will be excused from their classes, and will be allowed to make up their work.
